Central Park Rehabilitation And Nursing Center in Syracuse, NY Pricing, Reviews & Medicaid

Rosewood recently was added to the federal list of the worst nursing homes in the U.S.. The social worker and the dietician have been a wonderful help. If you do not have the time to set things up personally for your relative and cannot be there all the time to make sure they are okay, I would not recommend this facility at this time.

The facility is fairly clean – my relative has been a resident for 2-3 months and his health has greatly diminished. There is a staff shortage and it appears information is not shared when shifts change regarding status of patients. Simple tasks of wound care, dental checks and updates take many weeks. Family is often treated in a dismissive manner when asking questions about their loved ones. The rehab OT, PT staff are wonderful – but would not recommend this for long term care patients.

I have worked in LTC for over 15 years in the local area. I have entrusted Central Park with the care of my mother. I can happily say that I am able to sleep easy at night not only knowing she is well cared for but that she is amongst family. I would highly recommend Central Park to anyone looking for care for a loved one. Central Park Rehabilitation And Nursing Center is a nursing homes facility located in Syracuse, NY. They do not belong to a continuing care community. To be completely honest I wouldn’t even give this facility one star if I had the option. My grandmother was there for four days and not once was she based or changed out of her clothes. Staff left her in places they should not leave her, and left her and her soiled garments on top of dirty linen. When my mother, who helps take care of her, went into the facility today she was completely mortified by everything that she saw.

My grandmother is very picky, and the food’s been delicious. I’m assuming it’s good because she’s very particular. All of the staff I’ve met have worked there for a very long time. My understanding is there are not a lot of turnovers. They’ve all been very good about communicating with me.

His last days were at this facility, and I can’t help but think that serious missteps were made. It came as a shock to me to find that this facility has no AED defibrillator available. The risk assessment manager even went so far as to make up what she recalled my father saying in his last days. We chose Central Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for my mom.
